Lady Hutchinson's House / County House 23 High Pavement
I recently received a report regarding the interior of this building that suggested that it's now completely unsafe and that it was doubtful if any of the beautiful original features can be saved. Apparently the ceilings are caving in, the beautiful main staircase is unusable and the panelling is peeling off the walls. It is nothing short of criminal that successive owners of this listed property have allowed this to happen, and it also says very little about those official bodies charged with safeguarding our heritage.
