Meet me by the lion - Just as it was years ago in my younger days, the left or right hand lion of The Council House is still a favourite meeting place for friends & lovers. This is the left hand one known as Leo or Agamemnon. The one on the right being Oscar or Manelaus Both lions are the work of Nottingham sculptor Joseph Else
