This is obviously not the Guildhall. I have included it here because of its close association. |
In the 1960's this fine house was the official residence of visiting circuit judges presiding at Quarter Sessions in the Old Guildhall. Originally there was a 24 hour manned police box to the left at the rear of the squash club. This has gone, but the flagpole from which The Union Flag was flown remains as a reminder of its past function. |
