Nottingham Boys High School Arboretum Street The War Memorial This close up of the bronze shows it to be a very fine and striking piece of work depicting a young WW1 Army Officer signalling his men to move forward. Compared to other great cities, Nottingham is very short of good quality bronze statues and whilst it is understandable, it is none the less a shame this one is not in a more conspicuous position in the city.
