Post Script

August 2014 - The company has announced plans to close this factory and end cigarette manufacture in Nottingham.
This is a sad blow for the city and for the hundreds of workers employed there.

What with the Lace Industry, Raleigh and the Ordinance Factory long gone and Boots now in foreign hands, there will soon be very little left of the manufacturing heritage the city once had.

When John Player & Sons vacated the various factories that they once had in Radford, This is the modern facility to which they moved to manufacture cigarettes.

Post Script

December 2018 - BBC News announced that demolition of this building is now in progress. There has been calls to list and preserve this building as a fine example of 'Brutalist Architecture'
