The High Court of Justice and Crown Court, Nottingham

Canal Street,  Nottingham.

Crown Courts are usually designed to look impressive and imposing but this is neither.  It has also been crammed onto a plot that is far too small and as it faces north, it's looks are not helped by being in the shade all day long.

It fails even on the very basics of practical design and is already being defaced by dark staining of the stonework by water dripping from windows etc.
As far back as The Romans the need for drip strips, adequate capings and window sills was appreciated to avoid such staining, but The PSA seem not to have appreciated this simple design necessity.
