Many of my generation will remember this building as The Sherwood Rooms Ballroom and those of an even older disposition as The Greyfriars Ballroom. It is a very bland building on the outside but in the 1960's it's interior was very pleasant and it was a rival to the Palais de Dance, though not quite as 'with it'. I've no idea what it's like inside at the present time. |
