This beautiful little church stands on the south bank of the Trent and was named after Wilfrid, Bishop of York who lived between 634 and 709.

Whilst it is thought that a church has stood on this spot since before the Norman Conquest, the major part of what we see today dates from 13th century, with the chancel arch and tower believed to be of later15th century origin.
