Nottingham Buildings

The White Horse became known for featuring in the 1960 classic film 'Saturday Night & Sunday Morning' from the book by Nottingham Author Alan Sillitoe.
One of the original 'Angry Young Men' films, it starred Albert Finney and Shirley Ann Field and depicted the life of a young man working in a Raleigh machine shop.
As one who spent some time as an apprentice in a similar machine shop in the early 1960's I can vouch for the films authenticity - it wasn't a lot of fun!
