A wayside inn once stood on this site from 350 years ago with its own brewery, stables, forge and pastures in the area then known as Radford Marsh. In the1950's the building was also home to the Radford Boys Boxing Club where Raleigh worker Wally Swift learnt his art and went on to become British Welterweight and Middleweight Champion |
