The East Side Development Area Between London Road & Manvers Street The artists impressions show a waterside setting for the new development. Presumably a new 'cut' will be dug from here to provide the water and boat access. However its not clear to me how this will be achieved - we will have to wait and see.. This shot is of the basin at the end of London Road. The Nottingham Canal takes a sharp left here into the city centre. In its heyday a short cut did join at the point where the beige coloured wall is to serve the nearby mills and warehouses.
