The
Nottingham
Eye
is
60
metres
tall
(Approx
200
feet),
and
provides
breath
taking
views
over
the
city
centre
and
far
beyond.
During
the
ride
of
three
revolutions,
many
stops
are
made
giving
ample
opportunities
to
take
photographs
(So
long
as
the
sun
is
in
the
right
direction).
In
the
morning
the
lighting
is
ideal
for
pictures
of
the
west,
north
and
northeast,
and
by
mid
afternoon
it
is
possible
to
get
some
shots
to
the
south
east
without
too
much
glare.
It
is
well
worth
a
visit.
The
Eye
is
owned
by
E.
J.
Mellors
Amusements
who
have
been
providing
attractions
in
Nottingham
for
over
four
generations.
All
the
photographs
below
were
taken
in
2008
when
the
'Eye'
was
in
place
between
Friday
8th
February
until
Saturday
30th
March
2008.
Keep an 'eye' on the local press to see if the Nottingham Eye will return in
future years.
