The Forest Recreation Ground

 

 

 

As can be seen from the stubs left in the stone wall capping, the vast majority of The Forest railings were cut down for the war effort in WW2 for the manufacture of munitions.

However a small stretch survives near to the Mansfield Road / Gregory Boulevard junction.

These are they with the city arms that top the posts.
