Drury Hill If only it were possible to show Drury Hill, the quaint cobbled narrow lane that ran from the top of Low Pavement down into Broad Marsh, but alas it was totally demolished and engulfed by The Broad Marsh Shopping Centre in the 1960's. This entrance to the shopping centre is at approximately the same spot that the Drury Hill junction was at the top of Low Pavement. The only remains of this ancient thoroughfare are a road sign on the wall (just out of shot), and some of the many caves that were under the houses and shops © Ray Teece 07-02-2007 NS00132 |
