The central building is now Punchinello's which declares itself to be Nottingham's oldest restaurant. Older visitors will remember it fondly as The Empire Cafe that took its name from the theatre that once stood nearby on South Sherwood Street. The street has now taken on a true continental flavour to it with several businesses offering outside seating. |
