High Pavement
High Pavement starts here at the house with the brighter red bricks. This is No1 and is the chambers of a large law firm. This and the other two similar houses lower down (Weekday Cross addresses) stand on the site of the original Bluecote School which re-located to Mansfield Road in 1853. From sketches of the old school, I have a suspicion that this present day building was possibly re-modelled from the old school as it's style and proportions are very similar in many respects.
