The NEW Lace Market Square
This new square is still under construction and is located to the rear of The Adams Building off St Mary's Gate. The new square will be flanked on two sides by new residential apartment blocks some of which are already occupied. The development was designed by Nottingham architect Franklin Ellis and is expected to be fully completed and opened in September 2007 The square will also be home to several new sculptures one of which is shown here and is intended to represent a roll of lace tumbling down the wall. It is the work of Nottingham artist and designer Fiona Heron
