Peachey Street Peachey Street runs off the bottom of Mansfield Road, just above the point where Milton Street ends. On its northern corner stands The Peacock Hotel. The street has quite a few other old buildings standing on its south side but I have no information on the history of these. However, on the opposite corner to the Peacock Hotel once stood a large building that was erected in 1876 as The Exeter Hall. This then became the Regent Hall Baptist Church and then a cinema in 1913. It was demolished in 1958. Maybe the buildings that are seen here had some association with the Exeter Hall ?
