Trivett Square & Short Hill The lace Market Trivett Square takes its name from Louis Oram Trivett's lace factory that stands on the right. It has an unusual tower that can be best seen from St. Mary's Church yard. (See Hollowstone photograph) Short Hill is the high level narrow road seen here that runs parallel with Hollowstone. At the end is a right turn and it then becomes Short Stairs that led down into what was Narrow Marsh. Most properties on Short Stairs are now modern new builds but in sympathetic red brick.
