ancient
times
this
was
an
important
hub
of
the
city.
A
market
was
held
here
and
the
Guildhall
and
a
prison
stood
on
land
to
the
right,
both
lost
to
history
shortly
before
the
Great
Central
Railway
was
driven
through.
The
original Bluecote
School
also
stood
just
to
the
left
of
where
the
black
car
can
be
seen
before
its
relocation
to
Mansfield
Road
