Grantham Canal Lock Gates THE GRANTHAM CANAL IS NOT IN THE CITY
These are the lock gates on the Grantham Canal that gave access to the River Trent There are plans to re-open this canal but it will take a huge amount of money to do this. If it does re-open then it is unlikely to join the Trent here. A new cut will be required to circumnavigate all the obstacles that have been built in its path since it was closed to traffic.
