Waterways - The River Trent

Very few boats will venture past this point as the river becomes wider and very shallow. Beeston weir, about a mile or so from here is the final impassable obstacle.

All traffic travelling upstream must use the Nottingham and Beeston Canals to by pass this section.

The River Trent

View from under Clifton Bridge looking west as the river leaves the city and enters the County of Nottinghamshire.
