The Icon The Ropewalk. I quite like this as a piece of modern architecture, but again, is it appropriate for a conservation area of mainly fine Victorian houses and other buildings ? I doubt if I'd get planning permission for something like this even on my modest 1970's road of boring almost identical houses - not in keeping with the area would most likely be be the reply from the council.
